Many of the Vallarta old timers have their country houses on the hills surrounding Pitillal.
- Aramara; The Aramara area is located north of the Hotel Zone, between the Cruise Ship Terminal and Pitillal, which is further inland. Here you will find Galeria Vallata, Banderas Bay’s largest mall, as well as Walmart and assorted businesses. A mis of commercial and residential, the neighborhoods La Aurora and the gated neighborhood Las Moras are located here.
