Selling in Mexico is easy, even for a foreigner. However, before you get ready to sell, you need to make sure you have some documents in order:

Copy of Deed

Last Property Tax Receipt

Electric or Phone Bill (in your Name)

Copy of passport

Current Mexican Immigration Document

Although few choose to sell in Mexican pesos, the norm is to sell properties in US dollars.  The usual procedure would be to have an evaluation completed and a comparative analysis to property in your area. (Biencom Real Estate will complete this at no cost.)  Now you are ready to start the process of selling your property.  It is highly recommended that you list your property with an MLS recognized brokerage and wait for the magic to happen.  Many people are unrealistic about the price of selling their property.  Remember, it is only worth what the current market dictates.

When an offer is received on your property, the negotiation begins.  It is much the same as US and Canada. Once the price is agreed upon, there may be conditions that need to be met by a certain period of time in order to “seal the deal”.  These conditions may include such things as a structural/mechanical inspection, and are usually removed within a week to 10 days.

Hopefully, you will choose our company to list and take care of all your real estate requirements.
